How To Forgive Anyone!-- Episode 50: Featuring Debbie Roth

In this episode

How can you forgive anyone?

Debbie Roth is a Professional Forgiveness Coach and works with clients around the world to make peace within themselves and create what they truly want in their lives. A cornerstone of Debbie’s coaching is the powerful practice of Self-forgiveness to help people slow down with their limiting stories about themselves and let go of them….and awaken to the freedom of doing this.

Self-forgiveness was a profound game-changer for Debbie personally. She spent much of her early life in two worlds. On the outside, Debbie had a “successful” life––she excelled in academics, was valedictorian at Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government, had a happy marriage, and cultivated a thriving career in politics and public policy. Yet on the inside, her experience was far different.

When Debbie was growing up, she lived with a mentally ill mom who went in and out of hospitals, and they were on government assistance. She felt unlovable, alone, and powerless. Soon, Debbie turned to alcohol and eating disorders to deal with the pain she felt inside. Even with all of her outer accomplishments, Debbie carried this story with her.

This all changed when she studied spiritual psychology at the University of Santa Monica and learned the powerful practice of Self-forgiveness. One day at a time, she created a loving foundation inside by forgiving herself for the judgments she’d held for so long. As she healed and stepped into her strength, Debbie launched Nutrition Within––a holistic health practice to coach people in forgiveness and wellness.

And, then her mom was murdered. Facing the grief and judgments from this act opened Debbie to a profound level of compassion. She deepened in her ability to forgive and choose love—no matter what. It was at this point that Debbie began offering workshops on Self-forgiveness, and she completed a Doctorate of Spiritual Science where she developed and tested a 3-step method on Self-forgiveness.

Debbie then went on to serve at the Institute for Individual and World Peace and offered workshops on forgiveness. Speaking at the Annual International Gathering of Peacemakers, she has facilitated thousands on the process toward peace. Debbie also directed a project for the International Day of Peace, with events in dozens of countries worldwide.

In her current work, Debbie offers individual and group packages utilizing the steps of forgiveness as a vehicle for profound transformation. Most recently, Debbie launched an 8-week program during CoVid to help people expand into a renewed vision for their lives, and learn ways to treat themselves with kindness along the way. Additional topics she’s coached people on include letting go of stories about money, building a successful business, and creating more loving relationships (inside and out.)

And coming in March, Debbie is offering the 2nd Annual 21 Days of Forgiveness group, where participants take meaningful action on a project that’s important to them for 2021. Each day, they receive a simple forgiveness exercise to work with the issues that come forward as they go. Last year, 20 participants in 4 countries took this journey and created extraordinary results––and walked away with a powerful 21-step handbook to forgive.

Debbie lives in Los Angeles and is an avid runner, poet, and burgeoning piano player. For more information on Debbie and her work, you can
