AI Usage Policy

The Tribe of Giants uses artificial intelligence to help guide your growth. We want you to understand clearly what our AI does, what it does not do, and how your information is handled. This policy is part of our Terms of Service and works alongside our Privacy Policy.

1. Where we use AI

Rimi — an AI guide you can chat with for reflection prompts, encouragement, and help moving through the journeys.
Guided walks (“Walk with Rimi”) — an AI-led, conversational way to move through a journey.
Teach-back & feedback — AI helps review what you write back and offers feedback.
Content creation — we use AI to help assemble journey and blog content from Nicholas Townsend Smith’s own source material. A human reviews published material.

2. AI is a tool, not a professional

Our AI features are not a person and are not a licensed professional. They do not provide therapy, counseling, diagnosis, or medical, mental-health, legal, or financial advice, and they are not a substitute for care from a qualified professional. AI can be confidently wrong: it may produce information that is inaccurate, outdated, incomplete, or not right for your situation. Use your own judgment and do not rely on AI output for important decisions. See our Disclaimers.

In a crisis, AI is not the right tool. If you are in crisis or may be a danger to yourself or others, contact your local emergency services now. In the U.S., call or text 988(Suicide & Crisis Lifeline). Rimi cannot help in an emergency.

3. How your information is used with AI

When you use an interactive AI feature, the messages you send are transmitted to our AI providers (currently OpenAI and Anthropic) to generate a response. These providers act as our processors under contract and process your input only to return a result to us. Under our agreements with them, your inputs and outputs are not used to train their public models. We do not sell your information. See our Privacy Policy for retention and your rights.

Please avoid sharing sensitive details you don’t need to share— such as full financial account numbers, government IDs, passwords, or others’ private information — in AI chats. You can delete your chats and account data at any time in your settings.

4. Human oversight and content review

Journey and blog content produced with AI is created from Nicholas Townsend Smith’s own material and is reviewed by a human before it is published. Real-time chat responses from Rimi are generated live and are not individually reviewed before you see them, which is another reason to treat them as a helpful starting point rather than a final answer.

5. Your responsibilities

You agree not to use our AI features to generate or seek content that is unlawful, harmful, harassing, hateful, or that violates our Community & Acceptable Use Policy, and not to attempt to misuse, overload, reverse-engineer, or extract the underlying models or prompts. We may limit or suspend access to AI features to protect the Service and its members.

6. Changes

As AI technology and our providers evolve, we may update this policy and the tools we use. We will revise the date above when we make material changes.
